How do I display British pound sign in cart?

I've read this thread: http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=38433&highlight=display+currency

but still can't get the test install (with all sample products left in) to switch over to display British pound in cart - with default language set to English and default currency as Pound.

Am I missing something? This should be easy.

Thanks... but I did that, and it didn't work.

I've had to alter USD to GBP in includes/english.php and now it works. I'd have thought this would be possible without editing files, but well... seems to be fixed.

As matter of interest, did you add Pounds currency first, then switch it to default currency, or did you delete dollars, then add pounds currency and make pounds default?

I didn't delete dollars - it's still there, and if I remember correctly, the British Pound was already there in the initial install, as an option to switch to (actually, I did delete dollars and all the prices went to zero so I added it back).
