Price per letter ?

Hi I am having a problem with my attributes pricing. I can not figure this out. I have a product that is personalized by the customer. They enter the text which I need priced by letter. I know how to do that. The problem is they also choose a size of letter height. I need to increase the price per letter with each size increase. For example If they choose 1 inch I need the the price to be .40 cents per letter. If they choose 1.5 inch I need the price to be .52 cents per letter, and so on. How do I acomplish this? Thank you for the help. I am really at a loss.

If you have this covered, then set an option name as size with option values associated with it as 1" 1.5" etc and set the incremental value for the size in the attributes. controller.

This is what I have been trying to do and for some reason it does not work. Do I add the incremental value in the "price +" section or the "Price per letter section"? I have tried it both ways and cannot get it to work correctly. Do I need to do something special with the attribute Flags? Thanks for your help. I really appreciate it.

Unfortunately ... at this time there are not relationships between the Attributes ...

While you can price text by letter or word, it does not have an option to change the size and price at the same time relative to the number of letters or words ...

You can make different Products with the different size text ... and then you can price the letters properly ...

But I am not able to whip out a solution for this one ... :cry:

Here I was feeling so smug on that per letter and per word and free letters and free word feature ... :cool:

Who knew you'd toss in a curve ball of font size on the same Product? :eek:

Just had a look at the letter thing....and this is not what I thought you needed.

I may be all messed up, but personalized to me meant something like engraving or embroidering or the like.

You could have an instruction box to get the details like "MLK" or what ever they want as personalization and then apply the price to how many letters ordered and the size.

The problem trying to do this on the same order is that the price is built into the TEXT attribute for the price per letter ...

There is nothing to say if you choose a different font that this should increment the price per letter ...

So, the best way right now is to have 2 separate Products so that each TEXT attribute can have its own unique price per letter ...

Has anyone found a solution to this particular problem...? I have the exact same issue *(pricing per letter based on the number of letters AND the size of the letters).

It's been a while since this post and I wonder if this has been resolved in an update or something.
