Small tax problem, gross price changing.
So, this is my third time typing this post, thank you firefox - it keeps going back with some silly keyboard shortcut...
Having a slight problem with my online shop. There is only one tax zone, Ireland - and the rate is 21%. THere will probably be no international customers.
When I go to the admin tools, into the catalog and price a new product I put 10 into the gross price box - and it neatly calculates the net price of 8.2645. However, when I click on "preview" to go to update the product, the price changes to "9.94", rather than what it should be - €10. When I click "Update" it changes again to 12.04! Now, as a prospective customer, I go to buy this product it is priced at €12.04, rather than the €10 (including vat) it should cost. I go to checkout, and it shows the 2.09 tax which was added on, like so:
Sub-Total:12.04EUR
Free Shipping Options (Free Shipping):0.00EUR
IE TAX 21.0%: 2.09EUR
Total:12.04EUR
However, the product should be priced at €10, and the total summary should read like so:
Sub-Total:8.24EUR
Free Shipping Options (Free Shipping):0.00EUR
IE TAX 21.0%: 1.76EUR
Total:10.00EUR
Anybody have any ideas as to how this is happening, it just doesn't make sense! Thanks
