Purchases being deleted

Hello Hello,

If you look at our site -- https://www.Buymorecards.net
We only have 2 issues.

When someone purchases an item...you can no longer search for it + the item dissapears from its respective set. We have had several buyers since our inception, and today we realized that items sold just leave our site!

Any ideas?

Wethinks it might have to do with quanities or something. ideas?

Hhhmm - might want to take a look at the way you have your stock checking in the Admin> Configuration> Stock

And what is the proper answer to that?

With a combination of cards not being removed, and when they ARE purchased leaving entirely, this could be a real headache.. Thanks.

In the Stock settings you can set the Product Status ...

Products status in Catalog when out of stock should be set to
Show Products when out of stock

0= set product status to OFF
1= leave product status ON

The 0 status means ... do not show on the Catalog ...

If you are tracking Stock ... and have this set to 1 ... then the Product will become Sold Out but not vanish from the Catalog ... when the Stock is <= 0

NOTE: be aware that there is a setting to allow people to order more than what you have in stock and checkout with it ...

Allow Checkout
Allow customer to checkout even if there is insufficient stock

Yup, we have those both taken care of.

however, the cards that were purchased are no longer in the catalog. And the stock wasn't fixed. ideas?

Go find the Products you cannot see ... is the status OFF?

Yes, they were off. But we fixed it. So everything is well now? thank you.

I haven't any idea if all is fixed now ...

You will need to test your settings by making a test order and assuring that your stock is managed properly based on the settings you have configured ...

Zen Cart is designed to do what you want ... but you need to make sure the settings are correctly and test your shop to make sure all is working the way you want it to ...
