Hi,
Instead of the standard "new products for june" etc sections on the main page, is it possible to have, for example:
DVD's
Games
CD's
Listing a few products from each category going down the page...Take a look at this website http://www.play.com and you will see what I mean

Thanks
Pete

Where do you want to put these new products? Take a look at includes/modules/new_products.php . Using a zen 1.3, lines 22 -> 31 give you the SQL code to get the new products in any category. This sql will only give you the new products within this category, not the sub-categories, but it points you in the right direction. You can then put this sql into use in a sidebox to display any category you like.

If you want to add subcategories, then you will need to do an SQL search to get all of the subcatergoies, and repeat until you have worked your way to the end of the category tree. Then place all of the category ids into the sql string, so the line starting "and c.parent_id = '" . (int)$new.......

should read like..

and (c.parent_id = '1' or c.parent_id = '2' or ..................)

Hope this helps
