Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required 'DIR_WS_TEMPLATEStemplate_default/common/html_header.php' (include_path='.;c:\php4\pear') in c:\inetpub\wwwroot\admin\index.php on line 48

Re: Admin not working on XP Pro install

Check to make sure this is correct:

'/Inetpub/wwwroot/'

It's usally something like:

'C:/Inetpub/wwwroot/'

for a local install.

Still the same...been trying every path variable for a day and a half!!...Thanks for the suggestion though...thought I may have been missing a file in the Admin but comparing with files on the live site I seem to have them all copied...???

Re: Admin not working on XP Pro install

Did you "install" Zen Cart do your XP, or did you simply attempt to modify it to work there?

Do a database-backup first, and then try doing a fresh install, so that it builds the configure.php files for your PC, and then restore your database so that all your data is back.

Looks like you're using v1.2.x.
Just a note that v1.3.0.2 is out, with numerous bugfixes...

Re: Admin not working on XP Pro install

It's logical that turning that off might be needed on a local install, but I'm a little surprised at the error message.

Glad it's working for you.

Re: Admin not working on XP Pro install

OPPS!! Forgot to mention I copied the entire Admin directory over again. Then I started getting a CGI error. So it could have been in some missed files. But the version checking fix took care of the rest.

Thanks Again...

Re: Admin not working on XP Pro install

Hi,

I had a fatal crash error in the browser when trying to log into the admin area. As posted above, this fix works beautifully:

"I found the answer in this thread:

http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/newrep...reply&p=200812

had to turn off version checking.

Zen Rocks!!!"
