Does it need to be installed in the root directory ?

Can I ask .. does the installation need to be put in the domain directory ? I have installed mine in https://www.mydomain.com/shop directory is this why it is not running and getting a line error ?????

You can install in either the root or in a directory on your site ...

If you could post, from your server, without your username and password the file:
/includes/configure.php

We could probably see what is up ...

What version Zen Cart did you install?

What version php are you using?

All done - I reinstalled with the new updated version , and so far so good all seems to be well x x x
