First, Great product!

Second, please consider a gzipped download for the cart files, I typically have shell access to client servers, can it would really speed up install time to upload the gzipped file and just unzip it to the install folder.

Should speak to your hosting site about how nice it would be to have unzip available on your server as well ... :smile:

Note: you can always unzip this on your PC and rezip in the format you need it ...

I don't control hosting choice most of the time.

I could, you are right, unzip and re-zip, which is what I'll do from now on.

I'm only beginning to swap people to zen-cart

You could also setup a configured clean install of Zen Cart and zip it on your site so all permissions are preset etc. and have that ready for when you need to create a new site ...
