How to do Linking to Products from other pages

I want to link from my home page and other pages (within blocks of copy) to products.

How would I do this? Can I do this using "model" codes?

Anyone???

If you navigate to a product, now in your browser bar you will find an address similar to this:

http://www.your_domain.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1

this will be your link that you can use to navigate to this specific product. Each product will have a unique address so in theory you can provide links to all your products.

or it can appear like this in your text:

Click on this link to a really great product and enjoy viewing the future!

This actually defeats the purpose of have a powerful cart such as ZenCart,. Why can't you create the look of your current site within the functional cart and avoid having to maintain all of these links? Or if this is only for your own purposes, excuse my inquiry.

The reason is that several of my pages are stories about chinese herbal medicine and I have links in the copy to different products and sub-stories.
