Moved to new host - images not showing

Hello, I just moved my site to a new host/server and everything is working except the images. No images are showing, not the layout images and not the product images.

I've checked that everything is uploaded.

What is wrong? Why aren't they showing?

Do you have the images/ folder in the cart folder?

In admin\includes\configure.php
See for the line
define('DIR_FS_CATALOG_IMAGES', DIR_FS_CATALOG . 'images/');
It might be pointing to the wrong path

Sorry the line is
define('DIR_WS_IMAGES', 'images/');

Everything in the configure file should be pointing to the write path. The only thing I changed in that file from my old host is the cart path.

Give 755 permissions to images folder and then try

I did that and nothing changed. Still no images. :(

Before we go on this
Just do one thing
Go to the folder images
Check that there is an image with the name Strobrod.gif
If its not there, then you know where the problem is :)
If its there, make sure that is has 755 and then access:
http://swefoods.com/images/Strobrod.gif

Even then if it doesnt shows up please post here, we will investigate more

Yes, I am sorry to say that the image is there and the folder is set to 755.

and click on 1_small.jpg

I get
You don't have permission to access /images/1_small.jpg on this server

When I give something like

http://swefoods.com/images/1_small.jpg1
The requested URL /images/1_small.jpg1 was not found on this server.
(because the file is not there)

There is something wrong going on with the permissions as I can see it

Okay, finally it is working now. My webhost fixed the problem. Their reply was:

The problem was the following line in your .htaccess file under folder /home/********/public_html RewriteRule .*.(jpg|jpeg|gif|png|bmp|JPG)$ - [F,NC]

I have commented it out and all images are showing up fine now.

Note: you really do not want people browsing your /images directory

Zen Cart comes with an index.html file to prevent this ...

You should add the index.html to your /images or build an .htaccess file to protect these directories from outside sources ...
