Mysql Backup - Record indexes?

Using Phpadmin, I have backed up my Mysql database a time or two...it seems, however, that when a table is restored from the backup that the indexes/primary keys/etc are not. Is there a reason why it doesn't record these values, and is there any way to do so?

Also, just for reference, is there a place a can look to see what all of these values are supposed to be for the different tables? For troubleshooting and such it would be handy - I do a lot of that.

Thanks!
