Font hover color in cart sidebox

I'm trying ot change the hover color of the cart sidebox contents.

I added this line of code to stylesheet_original, but I'm not getting any changes:

}

If you are not refering to the cart contents page but to the "Cart" mainpage sideboxes. First the term cart usually applies to the actual shopping cart that displays the contents that one has assembled for buying.

The term stor, shop and others normally refers to the ZenCart install for your site/store/shop...

There are 4 listings close to begnning of the stylesheet.css file that control link colors. they are all of the 'a' function and are

normal(a)
visited
hover
active

Adjust colors as you see fit

I'm referring to the cart sidebox that shows up on each page after something has been added to the cart.

The a.hover statement in the stylesheet doesn't change it, so it must be overridden somewhere else.

What is also wierd is my category sidebox links hover red in IE but stay white in firefox.

I want the sidebox header links to stay white on hover and they're turning red now too.

Try changing or adding

#categoriesContent

a:hover {
color: #CC0000;
}
for RED

or

#categoriesContent

a:hover {
color: #ffffff;
}
for white

I had alreday tried what Gerard suggested, no luck.

It shows up in Firefox's element info viewer as:

span.cartOldItem

I've also tried this:

.cartOldItem a:hover{
color: #CC0000;
}

and this:

Span.cartOldItem a:hover{
color: #CC0000;
}

In which file are you making these changes?
