Navigation Bar. Change text to image buttons

Hi all.

Having a few problems with this. I'm trying to replace the text in the navigation bar with graphic buttons

I've red through a couple of previous threads and thought i had cracked this.

What I've done (it's probably wrong)

I have edited the code in the tpl_header to:

<div id="navCatTabsWrapper"> <div id="navCatTabs"> <a class="category-top" href="http://www.niodonline.co.uk/public_hmtl.php? main_page=index&cPath=1"><img src="/catalog/includes/templates/future_zen/nava.gif" /></a>

so the text will go away and i can get a graphic button instead. it's not working just showing a broken path. The image nava.gif has been placed in the future_zen images file but it wont display
