"New products for" problem

I have a minor wierdness with the center panel "New Products for [Month]". The products displayed in the panel are fairly random, definitely not the ones added recently.

Some background. The site http://www.splatcooking.net was originally running on oscommerce MS2.2 with the security patches and a few mods. I designed a script to import from oscommerce format tables running on the same mysql server

One thing I had running was UK date format. I have not yet played with the date formats in zen cart, maybe this is the problem?

Where are date formats set and interpreted?

Re: "New products for" problem

I'll reply to my own post. I updated the language files in my template to UK format using the wiki advice http://www.zen-cart.com/wiki/index.php/Date_Format.

It seems OK now.

Ho hum...

Re: "New products for" problem

Update. That didn't fix the problem with the 'New products' box, though it did clear up a few other issues.

Products added in July are still not showing up in the 'New products for July'. Anyone with an idea of where to start looking?

If you switch back to classic do the problems go away?

Also peek in the Maximum Values ... did you set the New Products Limit to define what exactly the time frame is on New Products?

Re: "New products for" problem

Thanks Ajeh, the 'New Products Limit' was set to 0. That's why it was displaying completely random products.

I couldn't find this from a forum search so maybe my problem, and your rapid response will help someone else (maybe a Wiki entry?).

Regards & thanks again
