Images look distorted/fuzzy/squished

Hi

My images at https://www.techshop.dk/shop/ dosentl look very nice
It is mostly the product cases for example http://www.techshop.dk/shop/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=65
If you see the large version they look nice

I have red http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/faq.php?s=&do=search&q=resize&match=all&titlesonly=0 and tried to set one of them to 0 but that dosent seem to help (height is 0 on all pictures)

I have also tried to write a size in both height and width and turn on Image - Use Proportional Images on Products and Categories, but that dosent work either.

What can I do and what am I doing wrong?

you have another problem too - your images need optimizing -

I suggest downloading the imagehandler contribution - this will automatically do the optimizing for you (the 23KB image will go to less than 5KB and look good) - also adds very nice image hover popup so that larger image appears. very nice and professional

Image handler also might solve your distortion problems - it has another option where you can set a background so that odd sized images become uniform - this will line up your captions etc

But how to solve the first problem?

It seems that Zencart make wrong propersisions when it makes the picture smaller. If I set both hight and width to 0, then the picture should stay as I uploaded it i guess, but then it have all wrong propersisions

the image you attached was fuzzy but doesn't it show proportional images set to 0?
zero as in off, not Oh as in on
reset to 1
but if you did that already...I don't know..

I also have problems with distortion. The distortion is more obvious on a pc than on a mac - i don't know why.

I have followed the instructions i found throughout the site...

I am using jpegs for top quality....

The images are square. 200 x 200, etc. At first - The exact image sizes were entered in the images admin panels, and calculate image size was turned on.

Huge distortion problems have occured.

So I followed the instructions in other posts to set the height to 0 and make sure calculation is still on.

Now the distortion has increased, and has reached a new level of 'bad'.
