One rate for Uk shipping and one rate for Europe shipping...

Hi,
Can someone please help me set this up. What I want is when a customer gets to the checkout page, They should have 2 options Uk shipping (£2.50) or Europe shipping (£4.00). I'm pretty sure zen can do this without any major cade changes but I cannot figure it out. I have tried searching the forums and found plenty of posts about shipping modules but all seem a bit heavy handed for what I am trying to achieve.

Thanks
Pete

Re: One rate for Uk shipping and one rate for Europe shipping...

Same setup here. I use Zone shipping (which I think should be called country shipping - correct me anyone if I'm wrong...).

Setup: UK one "zone", and add all other EU countries to the other "zone". Zones here has nothing to do with ZC zones though...

Shipping will be automatically given at checkout, based on customers country settings. I use tax based on shipping in the shipping module, AND in the store setting (not sure why one needs both).

Anyone know if you can use this feature to set up the same kind of scenario for different shipping charges to different US states?

Re: One rate for Uk shipping and one rate for Europe shipping...

I thought I had sorted this out by having GB in zone 1 with the appropriate shipping charge and all the other countries in the world in zone 2, with a second shipping charge. Customers pay the same shipping regardless of the number of items ordered.

Now I have noticed a problem. Zen Cart sends the 3 character country code to the credit card payment system, and the payment processor (Barclays) will only recognise the 2 character code.

Does anyone know how to get Zen Cart to send the 2 character code with the order details?

That depends on the payment module you're using.

Hi DrByte

Thanks for getting back to me.

I think I have resolved this now; and you were right, it was an issue with the payment module. It was a case of modifying the code that extracted the iso country codes from the Zen Cart database.

Best regards

Keiran
