Attributes not working at all

Im not sure what happend, but for some reason my attributes are not working anymore.

I have 2 that i know worked before i started this new one today.

But now they are not working. it dont display the actual total from the attribute in the total.

I tried to maybe set the product to "price by attributes" but when i do that, the price in the cart shows 0.00..

As i said, i know this WAS working about 1 month ago, so im not sure what the problem is now.

Any help would be great. as im tring to setup another attribute that adds .99cents to every extra foot of line by buy. but its also doing the same thing.

Well, it seems that it works fine in IE, but in Firefox its not working...

Im not sure what the problem is. But it was working before... i wonder what could have changed...

can someone verify that it isnt working in firefox?

Dont know why or how, but it fixed itself. its all the sudden workin in all broswers..

Some times a close all browser windows, clear the cache/cookies and open a nice clean browser window will solve all ... :cool:

well today we are seeing the same problem all over again! Dont know why or what. But its happening again this morning..

I rebooted the system, cleared the cache, and still.....

What add-ons have you added?

Some of them do break things on their own or if not properly installed or if not the correct version for Zen Cart ...

i have a few installed.

i also have made some changes a while back to the attributes becuase the actual dollar amount wasnt showing up in the dropdown menu, but that has been fixed for awhile. I dont know if that has anything to do with it, but for some reason its not working again this morning...

had this problem yesterday, and then it all the sudden was fixed and working, then BAM again this morning

right, did you check both IE and FF?

also i think it has to do with being logged in? it seems that in both IE and FF i can add it to the cart and it works fine, as soon as i login... its back to no adding the attribute cost to the cart....??!?!?!?!

any reasons for this?

your saying its working fine for you all the way around? your not seeing any problem at all? even if you login?

When you experience the problem ...

What exactly is happening?

Do you see the attributes in the shopping cart?

Are you selecting an attribute before adding the product to the cart?

alright, i view the product page, and i select the attribute for KIT Package. then i add to my cart. SOMETIMES it shows correctly, adding the attribute value to the total for that item.

Then i start the checkout process (loggin), and view the cart again. Its at that point that i dont see the correct total for the product, it does show the attribute text below the item like it should, just that the total isnt correct with the package deal...

im going to check another system here at the office and see if it is also doing the same thing....

ill report back and see what happens. It seems that IE adds it correctly untill i login as well. My defualt being Firefox which is where i started to notice the problem. It could be this system. i dont know

hmm, how do i change that? so that it is secure?

Also, i went ahead and checked another system, and had the same problem. So i went ahead and created a new account to test it. and it worked fine....

The only thing i can think of now, is maybe the discount group that i was in made something go funky?!?
Thats the only thing different between the old account i have and the new one i just created that worked fine. Im not sure.... Ill have to look further into it. But i think it may have something to do with that since thats the only difference.

I would imagin you are calling an absolute image vs a relative image or a non-secure from a secure page ...

Either don't show it on secure pages, or make it a relative address for the image or find a secure link to that image ...

if i stop it from showing on secure pages, will that stop IE from saying "display non secure items" every time you click after you loggin? iv been wondering why it did that all the time....

everything seems to work fine now that i have a new account setup. i even put myself into a group discount and it still seems to work just fine..

A lot of ways to fix that, as I indicated ...

In FireFox, go to a secure page and click the broken lock to see if anyone else is not secure ... I just did a fast look at the issue and I believe that was it ... but best if you test it and check it for yourself ...

Hint: If the non-secure image doesn't show on the secure page ... then you wouldn't get a secure warning ... :cool:

do you have a min to check it again. I believe that i have fixxed all the non secure problems, but i would like for you to take a look and let me know if you find anything else..

also, is there any way to change this problem where IE says that the domain dont match the ssl cert.?

the problem is that sometimes they go to https://www.myrcsupply.com and the cert is locked to .net domain. so it tosses that domain mismatch at you.

also if you directly go to http://myrcsupply.net it does the same thing becuase its missing the www. part....
