Can't find Admin Page

I'm having to use a "mirror" subdomain until I transfer our company site to dreamhost. The installation of ZenCart went smooth. I can even view the sample store front with no problems using the mirror domain name. However, the admin page is "file not found".

When installing I turned off SSL b/c I do not have it installed yet on the new server. Don't know if that's relevant, but if it is... there you go.

Any ideas anyone? I'm sure i'm just missing something stupid. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Can't find Admin Page

In this case it would help if you posted the address of your website and also the admin/includes/configure.php file (minus the database name, user name and password).

Re: Can't find Admin Page

You might also search the forum for references to dreamhost. Be sure to test test test the performance on their server before you switch .... to be sure you're happy with it.

Re: Can't find Admin Page

Okay, your admin panel is actually located at https://christchurchnashville.org/admin/ but the admin/includes/configure.php file is not set up correctly. You do have a full SSL certificate however - so these are your settings.

define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://christchurchnashville.org');
define('HTTPS_SERVER', 'https://christchurchnashville.org');
define('HTTP_CATALOG_SERVER', 'http://christchurchnashville.org');
define('HTTPS_CATALOG_SERVER', 'https://christchurchnashville.org');

// Use secure webserver for catalog module and/or admin areas?
define('ENABLE_SSL_CATALOG', 'true');
define('ENABLE_SSL_ADMIN', 'true');

// NOTE: be sure to leave the trailing '/' at the end of these lines if you make changes!
// * DIR_WS_* = Webserver directories (virtual/URL)
// these paths are relative to top of your webspace ... (ie: under the public_html or httpdocs folder)
define('DIR_WS_ADMIN', '/admin/');
define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', '/church_store/');
define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_ADMIN', '/admin/');
define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG', '/church_store/');

define('DIR_FS_ADMIN', '/hsphere/local/home/eliciacw/christchurchnashville.org/admin/');
define('DIR_FS_CATALOG', '/hsphere/local/home/eliciacw/christchurchnashville.org/church_store/');

You are also using the wrong User Name and Password, because I get this error:

Warning: mysql_connect(): Access denied for user: '[email protected]' (Using password: YES)

Re: Can't find Admin Page

Ok... you're looking at our current server with another host... zencart is not set up there, it is set up on our new server with dreamhost. we are testing that site with a mirror domain until we transfer the dns. that mirror domain is eliciac.dreamhosters.com

Thanks.

Re: Can't find Admin Page

Okay, but that doesn't explain why you have a mix of your current hosting settings, a dedicated ip address, and a new subdomain in that file. It's patently never going to work that way.

Two points remain relevant:

  1. Your 'admin is in the root e.g. http://eliciac.dreamhosters.com/admin/

  2. Your admin/includes/configure.php file has the wrong data in it, including this:

Warning: mysql_connect(): Can't connect to MySQL server on 'mysql.psoft.rentech.net' (4) in /home/.highjump/eliciacw/christchurchnashville.org/admin/includes/functions/database.php on line 19
Unable to connect to database server!

Only you can supply the correct db user name, password, and correct full file pathway (DIR_FS), but as for the rest it's this:

define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://eliciac.dreamhosters.com');
define('HTTPS_SERVER', 'https://eliciac.dreamhosters.com');
define('HTTP_CATALOG_SERVER', 'http://eliciac.dreamhosters.com');
define('HTTPS_CATALOG_SERVER', 'https://eliciac.dreamhosters.com');

// Use secure webserver for catalog module and/or admin areas?
define('ENABLE_SSL_CATALOG', 'false');
define('ENABLE_SSL_ADMIN', 'false');

// NOTE: be sure to leave the trailing '/' at the end of these lines if you make changes!
// * DIR_WS_* = Webserver directories (virtual/URL)
// these paths are relative to top of your webspace ... (ie: under the public_html or httpdocs folder)
define('DIR_WS_ADMIN', '/admin/');
define('DIR_WS_CATALOG', '/church_store/');
define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_ADMIN', '/admin/');
define('DIR_WS_HTTPS_CATALOG', '/church_store/');
