Selling Tickets, Events or Workshops

Has anyone used zen cart to manage and sell admission to workshops or events?

It's sort of unique in that
--it can't be sold the day after.
--the product listings need to be sequential by date.
--an event should automatically remove itself once it has passed.
--admission is limited to a number of people.
--there is no shipping the person simply shows up.

I am actually thinking about managing the events with separate pages outside of zen cart and then having a click into zen cart to sign up and pay.

I use Zen Cart to sell tickets for riverboat rides. Zen Cart allows you to sell items starting on a certain day but not vice versa. You can add certain attrbutes to each item you are selling such as a dropdown menu with dates for each event. As far as I know Zen Cart will not automatically delete anything. You can skip the shippinng process all together.
