New York Sales Tax

Hiya,

I am managing a site for a NYS client who is charging sales tax on all orders being shipped to NYS addresses... so I can't help with the per-county issue. But I've run into something else: the client has requested that we only collect taxes on orders of $100 or greater.

Has anyone else run into this? Is there a headache-free way to reconfigure the tax zone? Any ideas would be met with tears of appreciation, or just a warm THANKS.

This would be for clothing? I think that is tax-free for items costing less than $100. It may be for individual items less than $100, so I'm not sure what the policy is for an order of two items totaling $110...

The owner can select whether a product is taxable in the product editing page.

Actually, in NYS the rule was: when it comes to clothing and shoes, only collect the full tax rate on items over $110. That is ending soon, either last week or sometime this month.
