Attribute Placement on Product pg.

I think I have finally gotten a handle on ZenCart. In trying to tweak a few things - I'm stumped once again. Is there a way to reposition the attributes on the product page so that its placed above/before the "add to cart" box?

Re: Attribute Placement on Product pg.

Open your tpl_product_info_display.php and move the section of code.

<!--bof Attributes Module -->
<?php
  if ($pr_attr->fields['total'] > 0) {
?>
<?php
/**
 * display the product atributes
 */
  require($template->get_template_dir('/tpl_modules_attributes.php',DIR_WS_TEMPLATE, $current_page_base,'templates'). '/tpl_modules_attributes.php'); ?>
<?php
  }
?>
<!--eof Attributes Module -->

Re: Attribute Placement on Product pg.

You can pretty much mess around with a lot of the guff on this page as long as you keep the data in the right order.

<!--bof xxxx Module -->

xxxxx

<!--eof xxxx Module --> <!--bof next Module -->

xxxxx

<!--eof next Module -->

etc etc

Re: Attribute Placement on Product pg.

I am trying to find a way to get rid of the double spacing in between attribute selections.

I have a list of music track titles and across from it the checkboxes and price that buyers can select to buy. However the spacing looks awful it is like:

track 1 (chkbox).99

track 2 (chkbox).99

track 3 (chkbox).99

and I want them just single spaced.

Any clues as to where I can adjust the spacing? I've tried and tried in the template page with no success. :no:

Thank You,

Betty

Re: Attribute Placement on Product pg.

includes/templates/your template/templates or if you haven't customized it yet, in the default_template\templates

Re: Attribute Placement on Product pg.

I am actually looking on how to do something similiar, I have attributes with each product (i.e. color) and would like the various colors to be in rows not in a single column. Does anyone know how to change the format from single column to a row for attributes ??

Re: Attribute Placement on Product pg.

Go to the Option Names Manager.

Click the EDIT button next to the name you want to change.

Change:

Attribute Images per Row: [ ] Attribute Style for Radio Buttons/Checkbox: [ ]

Image Styles:
0= Images Below Option Names
1= Element, Image and Option Value
2= Element, Image and Option Name Below
3= Option Name Below Element and Image
4= Element Below Image and Option Name
5= Element Above Image and Option Name

Re: Attribute Placement on Product pg.

Danielle and BettySue:

I realize it's been a while since you posted, but here's the answer to your question about the double spacing (extra line breaks) between the attributes.

You need to modify this file: includes/templates/YOURTEMPLATE/templates/tpl_modules_attributes.php

There are two <br class="clearBoth" /> in this file if you haven't already modified it. Remove the second one.

To you Zenners who know more than I - Please correct me if I'm wrong!

Smiles,
Allison

Kim:

Open your tpl_product_info_display.php and move the section of code.
Thanks for that, it's just what I needed!
