How to set up 3 flat rates?

Hi all,

I've spent quite some time trying to figure this one out.

I'm only shipping to New Zealand (NZ) but at three flat rates to three regions within NZ.

As in:
Wellington, Kapiti and Masterton - flat rate $4.95
Remaining North Island - flat rate $9.50
All of South Island - flat rate $19.95

Ideally these would appear as a user-selectable tickbox on the checkout screen. I've managed to set up these regions as subzones on NZ and I have installed the Zone module.

However, I've only managed to get one item showing at the checkout - NZ. The zone shipping module doesnt seem to let me break it down to my subzones.

I'd really appreciate some advice on how to go about setting this up.

I downloaded the Delivery module and used that.

However I can't do break weights on it which is what I'm still trying to sort out. Otherwise it's fine if you have a net cost.

Just a side query: Have you set up any payment gateways in NZ Dollars on your site or is it all processed offline manually?

hm ok.. now I'm stuck again.. Which one of these is the delivery module?

Australia Post Module
Canada Post Shipping Module
TPG module (Netherlands)
UPS Delivery Area Surcharge

Those are the only ones on the downloads page.

hmmm.. this makes no sense at all to me. I have the module installed and it has some options as follows:

Sort Order

I can't see how to add different areas. All I can do is specify 1,2 and 3 in the delivery area.

How do I create more than one zone? I've got zones and subzones in the site, but the module only has one screen and one item can be selected.
Does this module have to be duplicated and installed several times maybe?

Any assistance is appreciated.

Instead of 1, 2 or 3... I broke it down to my courier zones... Northland, Auckland, Rest of North Island, South Island, Stewart Island & Great Barrier.

Hence why I said I can't do break-weights.

Ok.. to finish this thread off:

I can't recall where I got the delivery mod from but it was somewhere in the forums here. The originator's link leads to the ZC downloads page but the mod is not in there anywhere I could see.

If anyone does find the mod, it works fine in 1.3.0.2 and here are my notes on setting it up:

Installation is uploading two files and a delivery.gif, nothing is overwritten. The included PDF has an incorrect image folder path.

Upload the files to their respective folders as indicated by the paths included in the zip.

In Admin, Modules, Shipping,
•Select Delivery Area and hit install.
•In Delivery area, modify the words and values as required:
This Area:4.95,That Area:9.50,Over There:14.95,Store Pickup:0.00
•Do not set a Zone or tax class unless specifically needed.

Place your delivery.gif here:
•/includes/templates/template_default/images/delivery.gif

Or, to remove the delivery map from display
•In file includes/languages/english/modules/shipping/delivery.php
Remove the <br>from end of line 23
•In file includes/modules/shipping/delivery.php
Add // to start of line 34
