Page layout problems in IE

Ok, I am totally losing it.. LOL

1st problem - my page looks fine in FF, but in IE, everything seems to shift to the left.

I just noticed that even in FF, the home page is shifted to the left, but all the product listing pages are fine.

I am so confused. :(

2nd problem - How to remove all the space between the product category header and the paragraph below it:

Can anyone help?
