seems simple enough

A friend of mine recomended Zencart, swears there is a way to use zencart in the way i would like to.
Simply put, I want an Email message auto sent to my customers,after completeing the transaction on paypal's website.
The message will contain a link to download a file.
I understand that this file would be a Virtual product.
I can't seem to figure out how to setup the options/attributes.
And have not been able to find a way to create an Email template.
I want to use the Email with a link that expires after the file has been received.

The first thing you need to do is be sure that the file is actually in the folder /download and that the file has proper permissions (777) for the download.

I have my downloads set up as
Option Name : Download Now
Option Value : Download ZIP File
edit - ding dong smile shows when you have :D (: D)
Option Value : Download RAR File

Now you will go to the Attributes Controller and navigate to the product you are allowing download of.

Assign the Option Name (Download Now) and the Value (Download Zip)

Now scroll father down and you will type in the name of the file to be retrieved (THISFILE.zip) and also options of how many days the link is active / how many times the link can be downloaded.

Your friend is right - Zen will handle this for you - it's all in the admin configuration of the product and attributes :)
