Re: HELP - I Deleted My Original Style Sheet

I'm still here. Within my mass of browser windows, I have your site opened and I'm starting to give it the 'once over'. Yeah, there are a lot of problems that need addressing, but I've got your back. lol

I'll be back to get your colors straightened out first, then we have to hit the hard stuff.

Re: HELP - I Deleted My Original Style Sheet

No way, I'm a trooper. lol

I have bad news.. in FF, the site is in ruins. We have to tend to the harder stuff first. They may not be hard after awhile, but a lot of stuff is in chaos. Okay, back to work.. I'll investigate.

Re: HELP - I Deleted My Original Style Sheet

Ok I am not feeling too well.. I think its becaue I am now upset about what I did. So I think I am going to head to bed now.
If you would not mind letting me know what I need to change and how to change it in "English" and step by step because I am really new to all this... ( As you can tell.. ) I would GREATLY appricate it. I will of course be back on tomorrow.. I hope to have my site back up by the afternoon. I have Reps and a business that requires my site to work. LOL

Thank you so Much...
Kirsten

Re: HELP - I Deleted My Original Style Sheet

You can read about that here.

I know you are very frustrated/upset. I was too, at first. I made some bad noob errors and still do. By learning how to correct them, you learn not to make the same mistakes. It's all a learning curve. The biggest problem is modding the Classic template as it is only there as a quide to show how the template system has improved. Don't worry about it, get some much needed sleep. We'll start fresh tomorrow. What you can do for the meantime, is search the download section on top of the screen for a contributed template system and upload it to keep your store intact for now. You'll probably lose your slideshow and logos, but at least the site won't be broken in FF. I don't know what else to suggest as you are obviously in a rush for completion of the good kind. If I had a test store, I'd be glad to have a basic template(colors and logos) made for you..

Re: HELP - I Deleted My Original Style Sheet

Kirsten, I uploaded the repaired CSS files here. I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing after work tomorrow, so you can have them when you see this message! There are still points of customization to do, but at least your store won't be broken in FF. :D

Re: HELP - I Deleted My Original Style Sheet

Thank you so much. I Uploaded the new Style Sheets.. and overide the old ones. Its back to normal Again. I guess I had deleted a code accidently when I was playing around with the codes. Thank you Again for your help and understanding. See I paid someone $450.00 to set up my zen-cart.. then I wanted the colors and background changed ( I made the background and logo myself ) but I really did not want to upset her. So I figured it was about time I figured it out on my own and I can just take care of my own site. I guess its going to take me a long time to do so. But I am understanding a litte more as I go along.

I give ZEN - CART a thumbs up for a job well done!!!

Re: HELP - I Deleted My Original Style Sheet

You're welcome. The main problem was an extra closing tag in the "Body" statement. IE was lenient to a point, while FF was not.

I'm afraid that the new customizing has brought forth more errors, a lot have to do with eliminating the original colons before color statements. So, maybe go through your CSS files, search for them, and you'll get to learn that part. Tonight is my night off. lol.. just kidding, PM me if you need help. You'll have this figured out in no time and you'll be able to help me soon.
