test more issue with Authorize.net

I'm running the store in test mode so i can run the Authorize.net test run numbers and keep getting:

Your credit card could not be authorized for this reason. Please correct any information and try again or contact us for further assistance.

I accept M/C, VISA, Amex and Discover so I think I'm supposed to use Authorizenet_AIM.

What am I doing wrong?

Re: test more issue with Authorize.net

Which Authorize.net module are you using ?

Is you Authorize.net account set to require ccv numbers ?

Are you running it as authorize and capture ?

That info will help immensely in troubleshooting your issue.

Re: test more issue with Authorize.net

That's the problem - I believe - at least this is what I have experienced - you need to set the capture to AUTHORIZE AND CAPTURE

Try that - I believe it will fix it hun :)

Re: test more issue with Authorize.net

Tina,

Thanks for the great response, but it didn't help. Without giving away any necessary information, here is what I have for the AIM:

Transaction Mode
Test

Authorization Type
Authorize/Capture

Enable Database Storage
False

Customer Notifications
True

Merchant Notifications
True

Request CVV Number
True

Store the Credit Card Number
False

Sort order of display.
0

Payment Zone
--none--

Set Order Status
default

Do I have to chnge any of these settings?

Re: test more issue with Authorize.net

Hmmmm.....

You have everything set the way I have set it on more than 10 client carts that use authorize.net

Are you sure that your Authorize.net account is set to accept the CCV - this is a setting at their site on your account.

You might wanna give them a call and ask if they have any idea what the hang up is too because I don't see anything wrong with the settings you have for sure

Re: test more issue with Authorize.net

I already did that and they said everything was fine. Then I got confirmation e-mails from Authorize.net for all the tests.

A few days ago I had to re-install the web site because I made major gaf with an install of an add-on to Zen Cart, but didn't delete my database. Since then I haven't been able to get the EZ forms to work. I'm actually thinking of doing a re-install after deleting all the files and all the tables in the database. It will suck up a lot of time--probably half a day, if not more--but it will be done right and hopefully correct this problem. I'll decide if I'm really going to go that rout tomorrow.

Anyhow, thanks for all the advice. It is appreciated.
