1.3.01 to 1.3.02 upgrade emergency

For some reason I only have a 'new thread' option under the general category, so okay to move this if that's better.

I just upgraded from 1.3.01 to 1.3.02. Followed the documented instructions exactly. All seemed to go well, but here is what is happening:

On any page in the site, click on the Log In button. That goes fine. But as soon as you actually log in, the whole right column disappears.

Please help quick! this is a live store.
Thank you in advance

Have you an URL that we can look at to see what is happening?

Turn off your 2 banner sideboxes for a minute ...

Does this fix it?

It is also happening on the main page, at http://www.photoimprints.com. No main page content (center) nor right colum. Click a link and right column comes back. I have turned off the two right banners.

Something is odd with your URLs ...

Turn off the SEFU thing you have running ...

Re: 1.3.01 to 1.3.02 upgrade emergency

That's how my URL's always look!?!

I think I fixed it. I had set the permissions on the html_includes folder to 644, per the recommendation in the security doc. I changed that to 755 and now I have the right column back.

One hopefully minor thing. I lost my Comodo trust logo. Any thoughts on that?

Re: 1.3.01 to 1.3.02 upgrade emergency

When I point at the Login link I see a secure URL ...

However, when I click on it ... I go to a non-secure URL ...

Turn off the SEFU see if this is related ...

Also, in IE when I go to the main address of your site I am getting an Error on Page in the task bar ...

Re: 1.3.01 to 1.3.02 upgrade emergency

Fixed the Comodo logo, had missed comparing the header file in template/common. That may have been the error you got?

I had ssl prior to the upgrade... So what might that be?

Re: 1.3.01 to 1.3.02 upgrade emergency

I checked the two config files, ssl settings still fine in there. It was working perfectly prior to the upgrade. On my server I have HAD it set to use a single directory for ssl and non-ssl. I just went in to check, and that was unchecked. So I rechecked it, but that did not help. I'm thinking I should restart the server to see if that kicks it back in.

The server reboot did not help. Still no SSL. Now I really am stuck. Any thoughts?

Re: 1.3.01 to 1.3.02 upgrade emergency

If I go to your site and the URL link, before I click, tells me it will be a secure page ... when I click it, it starts out as a brief flash to the secure URL in the taskbar ... then switches to the non-secure ...

Something isn't quite right here ...

Maybe you do need a restart if you have changed something controlling this ...

Re: 1.3.01 to 1.3.02 upgrade emergency

1 turn off the SEFU for now so we can see

2 are your sessions stored in the database or files? switch to the database

3 Are you using any kind of redirect in your Control Panel?

Turned off SEFU.

I had been saving sessions in the database. I did not deliberately change this in the upgrade process. How do I check and/or change it?

No redirects, per se, just the option in Plesk to use a single directory for ssl and non ssl, which HAS been working fine prior to upgrade.

Re: 1.3.01 to 1.3.02 upgrade emergency

I just tried it in FireFox ...

Main page - non secure

Login link - shows secure

Click Login link - goes to secure eventually

Tried it in IE ... working right also ...

Either you had a time released site ...

Or your SEFU is causing issues ...

Re: 1.3.01 to 1.3.02 upgrade emergency

Okay, in admin->sessions I found that in fact it WAS storing in files, as the cache file was listed. I did NOT change permissions after upgrade on the folder, as I thought I was storing in database. So that went right over my head if I missed something in the upgrade process. A potential gotcha for others. I thought database storage was better, but I don't know how to revert to it. Can you advise.

Can you check for me and see if you agree that the ssl is fixed now, after upping permissions on cache folder?

Re: 1.3.01 to 1.3.02 upgrade emergency

I had turned SEFU back on, cuz I thought I was fixed. :) I turned it off again. When I go to login, I am now getting an https page, a secure lock, and the change in the comodo logo to secure. Can you tell me what is not working, then?
Thank you

YEs, the add-on. It is off right now. But as best as I can tell, the SSL IS working. Are you seeing something different?
