then why all the vbulletin terms in the security fix code ?

Um -- that would be a browser-refresh problem.

ummM --- how does http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=43579 relate to a browser-refresh problem?
also why does giving zen session IDs guarantee doom? is this for the server or the served?
Sensei
the "vbulletin" code you referenced is strictly part of how vBulletin occasionally will draw the syntax-highlighted code-snippets posted in the thread if your browser is heavily cached, running on a slower PC, or if our server is very busy. Typically a scree-refresh of your browser will clear it up.

If you post a zenid in a URL and more than one person clicks on that link in any given 24-minute period, both customers will end up logging in at the same time and seeing each others' data. Thus, the "doom" you mention.

ok sorry about my last post to the other thread you've been quick to respond to. im clearly out of my league here.
but i am wondering if the UK site was hacked due to the security issue just released? - or was it just coincidence that the thread had vBulletin term in it (i specifically searched for that term).
http://sex-shop.sysfix.co.uk/ was the [hacked] site mentioned here http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showthread.php?t=35950&highlight=http%3A%2F%2Fsex-shop.sysfix.co.uk

who knows. Perhaps. Would have to see their server access logs to know.
