Buy 1 Product, Get 2nd item 50% off

I have my cart doing this. Except it's not displaying it correctly. I would literally like it to display on the checkout "1 item" at full price, and the 2nd item at 50% off. What it's showing now is 2 items and the total - and the average of the two prices. IE, it's showing both items at 25% off, instead of 1 full price and 1 half off. Any way I can change the output to display 1 at full price, and the other have the discount?

Again, my cart is working fine, I have the math and calculation working fine, i just want what is displayed to be different. Any ideas? Thanks.

If there is no way that zencart can do this, can anyone recommend another shopping cart that will? This functionality was the primary reason my client called me up in the first place. I need to able to do this. Whether it's with zencart or something else, it doesn't matter as long as it's done. Thanks.

If you go to buy two of those items, I want it to visually list one item at full price, and one item at 50% off. Instead, it lumps them together with a "unit" price for each product which is 75% of their original value. Like I said, the math is correct. I just want it displayed differently.

That would require a great deal of customization to show that ...

The items are added to the cart by products_id:attributes ... so there is no separation between qty 1, qty 2, qty 3, etc.

In order to do that you would have to totally change the way the display pricing works without breaking the actual calculations ...

It would be better to remove the unit price and show a comment about discounts or a link to a popup to show the discounts ...

I am assuming you have masked the display of the Product Qty Discounts from the product _info page ...

Well, if I can't get that to work, anyone know of any other shopping cart software that will?

Also, I need to add the ability to make it where if you order at least $200, then you can get a free vitamin bottle of your choice. Is this possible in zencart? Let's say you buy 5 different products that equal out to be $200. I need it to be able to add one product for free. Thanks.
