Footer address

I'm getting an address on my newsletter and email footer in the unsubscribe link that comes from my old-old site. Where is this address hidden.

All addresses in my admin->configuration->email are current.

The fastest way to find out ... is to search your site for the incorrect old information using the Developers Toolkit ... Admin->Tools->Developers Toolkit ...
Put a unique portion of the incorrect text into the "bottom" input field, choose "All files-Catalog", and click search.

Fix the file in question.

Then you probably want to search the admin area too ... just to catch the admin-generated emails as well.

I have done the DTK route already using several single words and strings - no luck there, then I went into the database itself - and can only find the references to that address in the email_to_address field

I've just realised - that is my old test account and is the instruction to me to unsubscribe!!!

the first one is built from the settings in your /admin/includes/configure.php for HTTP_CATALOG_SERVER and DIR_WS_CATALOG

the second one is built from Admin->Configuration->Email Settings->Store Owner Email Address
