The Order status in admin area has been updated above is contain in order info.

Your question lead me to look at other order information when PayPal was working and sent Order confirmation emails, these order information are same as the one did not working. I notice that "Customer Notified" was show a red colour cross, it seems to me that it says PayPal did not send a "New Order confirmation", but it privious email (when PayPal working well) also show "Customer Nofifited" a red cross.

I don't know if this mean any thing?

If there still no clue about this, I may uninstall Protx and see what happen, thougt I don't think Protx is affecting PayPal.

I can't see any way that a normal installation of our Protx Direct module would affect paypal but, as you know, it's simple to "Remove" and re-"Install" the Protx Direct module so you can give it a go if it sets your mind at rest!

You didn't mention before.. have you upgraded to 2.0.3 yet? If not, then this would be a good time to do it as you have to "Remove" and re-"Install" the module when you upgrade anyway! :)

I also though about the same, I still do think Protx will affect the PayPal.

And also because I will have to upgrade to 2.0.3 and I don't know which files need to change, may remove 2.0.2 and copy 2.0.3 all over seens a easy thing to do.

with regarding this "PayPal fail to trigger website to send order confirmation email", there is a new development which might give you a clue. I notice sometimes, customer sent email via "Contact us" and emails do not sent out to me, but it is in "E-mail Archive Search", it has happened 2 times.

will this explain why "PayPal fail to trigger website to send order confirmation email"?

Well, I still do not receive the Orders made via PayPal too.
I tried with friendly URL settings, removed spam filtering, did almost try everything.
If first time customers, account subscriptions are arriving, PayPal notifications as well.
PayPal records on customers order are recorded well

have you lost emails sometimes? (When customers send email via "contact us")

I suspect it might something to do with the host, have you try another host?

at the time my paypal problem started, my host was installing Spamassisit on server, but they denied if there is any problem in their part. but I don't trust it!

I might try other host and see what will happen.

FYI - this is totally normal. The red cross only means that these order-status comments were not sent to the customer. It has nothing to do with the order-email being sent.

I'm not sure whether this would be a contributor or not. Technically it shouldn't be a problem, depending on their configuration of it.

Granted, turning it off for awhile to confirm its effect might be nice. (unlikely they will do that for you though.)

I am going to copy all of files + database from this shop, and set it up on another host which I also have SSL enable, and see if the paypal problem still exist. This is esay than asking my host to turn that Spamassist software off.

but did you see my thread N0.24, about I could not received 2 emails when customers sent out to me from "Contact Us" on my site, and "Email Archive" has record of these 2 emails? what likely casuing this? is it related to mailserver you was talking about prvious thread?

if the email is showing in the archive, then Zen Cart generated the message and handed it off to the mailserver.

After it leaves Zen Cart, there's nothing Zen Cart can do about it.

Checking mailserver logs is pretty much your only option

Can I check it by myself?Not usually. With shared hosting, you don't get access to that information. On a dedicated server, things would be different; your host should be able to assist, if they're willing (they aren't always).

Yes...actually my customers do not receive some mails (confirmations etc..)
I always resend order mails twice manually

I do not think that it has to do with ZenCart
Previously I was on a shared Windows 2003 Plesk 7.5 (everythink was just fine)
Since I switched to VPS with Plesk 7.6......I better don,t tell you what conflicts Plesk on Virtuozzo has. Especially their MailEnable is a horror

Hi! Well, seems that SMTP did the trouble for me as well.
I switched to Sendmail and Order confirmations come smoothly.

Before, customers did not receive subscription, contact us emails ....

Does it matter that I am on a Windows server? I mean...having to sendmail configured...

After i upgraded from zc 1.2.xx to 1.3 my paypal payment module is not working properly. The user does not see's any problem. When a customer pays through paypal he gets through checkout process properly but in my admin panel i dontsee any order recorded. I receive order payment in paypal but could notmake out what he customer has ordered.

Please suggest me how do i solve this.

Am using Godaddy's shared hosting. It used to work with my old ZC install of 1.2.x, this happened only after i upgraded to ZC1.3

1. Did you "remove" and re-"Install" the PayPal module in Admin->Modules->Payment ?
   (after first writing down your settings and re-setting them after installing again)
