Add to Cart Not Working in IE only

I'm trying to get my first ZC (V1.3.0.2) up.

I'm using a custom template like I'm supposed to, but my Add to Cart on the product page doesn't work in IE. It takes you to the Advanced Search page.

It does work when I switch to the Classic template. It's probably something stupid that I'm missing. Anybody have any suggestions? Maybe a stylesheet incompatibilty?

Sounds like an incompatible template ...

Did you make it yourself or pick it up from somewhere?

Uhhh, made it myself, starting from template_default in the latest version. I didn't really change them that much.

I tried renaming all the new templates I made -thus disabling them- one by one and no luck. Frustrating doesn't quite describe it.

While this does look odd in FireFox ... granted I do not have any plug-ins for FireFox so maybe it looks good ...

I can add to cart from products_all and from products_info and it appears to work ...

Where isn't this working for you?

Okay ... turn off the 2 search sideboxes ...

Does that suddenly make it work right?

I am getting suddenly taken to the advanced_search page ...

It doesn't seem to work from Explorer on 2 different machines.

The functionaltiy works in Firefox - I'm trying to get IE to work first before fixing the placement in Firefox, since it is, regretably, still the most used browser.

That was where I broke consistantly from product_info is in IE ...

I think you have form tags out of joint here ... hence the idea of turning off the Search sideboxes to see if that changes things ...

Ok - that did it.

i'd like to know why so I might be able fix it, but also to be able to offer some meager help to another unfortunate soul in the future.

I tried to put the search box in the header by doing this: require(DIR_WS_MODULES . 'sideboxes/' . 'search_header.php'); - what did I do wrong and what SHOULD I have done?

More or less ... what that did was take out the form tags except for the Add to Cart ...

Either the sideboxes are not completing their form tags from start to finish ... or you have them some how in the middle of the product _info form tag so the step on each other's toes ...

Check that your form tags are not crossed and that each section completes itself before the next begins ...

There is already a search box available for the header if you turn on the:

sideboxes/search_header.php

for the single column ... it shows in the header ...
