Updating Product Pricing Globally

Ok, I have installed all 3000+ products and have realized that I forgot to add 35% to all the product pricing.

Is there a way to update the global pricing for all my products with marking them as discounts or reloading all products..

And when you say discount ... are you referring to your 35% change or you have Discounts setup that need changing too?

This is a permanent change. I should not have said discount. Its a 35% increase to the main pricinig. When I did my upload of products, I forgot to increase the pricing from my cost to sales price.

If you want to change the products_price globally ...

First backup your database ...

Then, via phpMyAdmin you can use the command:
UPDATE products SET products_price = products_price * 1.35;

This will add 35% to all of the products_price fields ...

Then go to your Admin ... Tools ... Store Manager ... and run the Update Products Price Sorter ...

We want to increase prices by 5%

Where in phpMyAdmin do you enter the command:

UPDATE products SET products_price = products_price * 1.05;

it would be in the SQL tab after you select your database

What a fag that is. Pretty bad omission that, given that price updating is a regular feature of retaining.

You change something outside of the Zen Cart code ... you need to update the information manually as there is no way of knowning you made changes ...

We are smart but we are not omniscient ... :cool:

Hello All
This is the nearest post I can find to my problem..
I have a spreadsheet from one of my suppliers that lists my net prices and I want to update the prices in ZenCart using easypopulate.
The snag is that the data is arranged differently so I need to match the product code and change the price without changing description / image / weight etc.
If import a file with just product code and price will it leave the other fields on the database present or blank them out?
