Cant create a new Categories

I have a problem in that at the moment i can't create new Categories!

Now i have read the FAQ program and it says "Open the Admin, point your cursor at Catalog in the top menu. Choose Categories/Products from the drop down menu.Click the new category button.

On the next page fill in the category name, etc. in the right hand box and click save."

But in my categories page it actually does not say anywhere "new category"

I have searched for it in mozilla and Internet Explorer.

I can't find it!

Can anyone offer any thing..

Do you have products entered?

Are all products in a category?

I am running the latest version of zen cart because i downloaded it yesterday

THe catogary i am using appears to be "top" i think... and i know this screws up me selling it... and i have 10 products entered under 3 different product types.

How many Products do you see?

What is next to the dropdown at the bottom of the page?

From what I can see ... you have added Products to the Top Level Category ... categories_id = 0

This causes many issues ... one being you cannot add Categories as you already have Products in the Top Level Category and Categories hold Categories or Products but never both ...

Why does my website show: Warning AUTHORIZENET IS IN TESTING MODE

At the top of the screen and what does this mean ?

In your admin > modules > payment you must have something set up for authorizenet and it is in testing mode.
