Help with template

Hi i used a template called catika blue for my old website that was 1.27, ive updated my website to 1.3.02 and ive uploaded the template i used. When i select it in admin the shop goes black and it says in blue writing "function.require" has anyone got any ideas how to solve it. If not i will adapt another template but it would have been nice to have used the old one.

The structure of Zen Cart changed between versions 1.2.x and 1.3, very much for the better IMO, but one of problems that is inevitable with structural changes of this nature is that you can't simply apply old style templates to the new code.

With some work they can be adapted, but usually only by dragging the structure of your shop backwards. I have done a number of upgrades for clients and have yet to see one (well, manybe just one) where it wasn't easier to simply re-build the template using the powerful facilities built into the Zen Cart "template_default".
