i've looked in the developers tool area and searched "logo.gif" does anybody know where this file is so I can change it..? I would like to put my custom banner on the top of my page..... TIA

If yours is named logo.gif you can simply over write the logo that is in includes/templates/YOURTEMPLATE/images/logo and in /images and it will change it automatically. You will also need to look at includes/languages/YOURTEMPLATE/header.php that is where the filename and the size are defined.

I was working on this late last night and was using the web browser interface to do some of the changes... i don't recall on where to go back to do that..? do you by any chance know where i can go to do it? thank you for all your help!

The logo gets uploaded to the images folder in includes/templates/your template

i want to upload a .jpg file...instead of a gif, do i have to change alot of coding??

Can you convert your jpeg to a Gif? That may be a simpler way.

No you just have to upload and change the name in inlcudes/languages/english/yourtemplates/header.php

OK, i need some clarification. there is a "your template" i made one on my hard drive and ftp host. do i upload the edited files in the same directory on the ftp host? or where the file was found? i'm hella confused

i edited that file and uploaded it. nothing happened! there are just too many files and too many directories
