View Cart Button?

Is there a way to get a view cart button added to my site? It would be nice to be able to put the button anywhere on the site which I am sure would mean having to edit the code. If this cannot be done and have to have it in a side box, then that would have to do. I would rather edit the code, but if I can't, I can't. Does anyone know where I would need to start?

The Shopping Cart link in the header cannot be adapted to your site?

So does that mean that there is no way for someone to be able to view the shopping cart items without having to click the add to cart button?

Can't you just click the Shopping Cart link or turn it into a button to go to the shopping_cart page?

Or click the title of the Shopping Cart sidebox?

I am missing the point of why you cannot use any of these to build your button or adapt to your button idea? :blink:

Ouch, okay nevermind. I didn't realize after logging in that a shopping cart sidebox would appear. It's all the way down on the bottom right of my page and didn't even see it. Thanks.

The shopping cart links and sidebox by default do not show unless there is something to show ...

NOTE: the Shopping Cart sidebox has a switch setting in the Configuration ... Layout Settings ...

0= Always
1= Only when full
2= Only when full but not when viewing the Shopping Cart

I see, so it doesn't pop up after logging in, but only after a product is added, which actually makes more sense.

Now that's what I call intellegent code. But unfortunately I do have another question? I moved my shopping cart side box up to the top right, and now the headings for each sidebox below it also link to the shopping cart. Is this a known problem, or just a coding error?

Your "blank sideboxes" contribution has an error in it.
In the includes/modules/sideboxes/xxxxxxxx.php file, you are not getting a proper reset on the $title_link variable.

Somewhere in that file, you need to add:

    $title_link = false;
