Flat rate shipping in ZC 1.2.1d

I'm still running on ZC 1.2.1d. When I set it up more than one year ago I changed flat rate shipping that way, that it doesn't show on orders with value of 500 and more. Does anyone have any idea where that value can be changed?

Re: Flat rate shipping in ZC 1.2.1d

You totally need an upgrade ...

Peek in the Modules ... Order Totals ... Shipping ...

Do you have the Free Shipping for orders over 500.00 turned on?

Re: Flat rate shipping in ZC 1.2.1d

I have free shipping on orders over 5000. It must be something different.

As far as upgrade is concerned, I would love to upgrade but my set up relies on Short Descriptions by Network Dad as I need an extra field in the database except normal description. I think its not compatible with 1.3. Also the way in which Specials, Featured Products and New Products are displayed on my site have been hard coded by PHP programmer as I couldn't get anyone to make a module complying with ZC standards to display them the way I wanted. Now it is hard to upgrade because of this.

You can see it here: https://www.palmtops.com.pl

Thanx for Trying to help Linda :). You guys at ZenCart are great!
Would you be so kind to peek at that topic too:

Check the file on the server:
/includes/modules/shipping/flat.php

Did you customize this module to control the 500.00 in there perhaps?

Re: Flat rate shipping in ZC 1.2.1d

No, this one wasn't customized. What should I do to look for 500 value in mysql database through phpmyadmin? Maybe this would give some clue.

Re: Flat rate shipping in ZC 1.2.1d

You can try a search for 500 in the Developer's Tool Kit but I don't recall if that old version even has one or not ...

You can try a windows search on your copy of your site on your pc of all *.php files for 500

You can look through the dates for the files in:
/includes/modules/shipping

Do they all match?

You can look at /includes/modules/classes/shipping.php was this changed?

You can get Beyond Compare from scootersoftware.com and compare a clean copy of your version to your existing copy and see where the changes are to find this ...

You can hire somebody to hunt this down and find it ...

Re: Flat rate shipping in ZC 1.2.1d

I finally solved that one :)

Hardcoded modification were done to includes/classes/shipping.php that way so if you put a number (500 in my case) in that file it will show flat shipping only for orders not exceeding 500.

It may be handy for some users as we are an example of a shop that ships all orders over 500 with a courier and we give customers an option for orders under 500 which way they want their shipping: courier or local postal service (using flat rate shipping for postal service).

I couldn't find any other way to do it so we used that method. I can post whole code if anyone is interested.
