Hide or Password Protect only one Category?

risant:

Is there a way to have ONE admin only ?

I don´t know. but in the way I´m doing it I must have two different admins.
which is a bit stupid i think
but in a big company maybe it would be better that way..

Re: Hide or Password Protect only one Category?

You have 1 store with one admin..original database.
2nd store...copy of original database..1 admin.
Not possible to have 1 admin for both/same stores,
because each store uses seperate database.
This is the safest, easiest way to do it...

Re: Hide or Password Protect only one Category?

And how do I import the database?
Zen cart seems to have no tool for this!? or maybe Im just blind.

I installed the EasyPopulate but it doesn´t do the job
anyway claims that it did succesfully..

Re: Hide or Password Protect only one Category?

Easy Populate is for importing products only, via
csv file.
Database...if your webhost has CPanel, you can do
this via cpanel admin...otherwise, use phpmyadmin..
Your webhost should be able to advise.

Re: Hide or Password Protect only one Category?

I learned now to export (make backup) of the datafile.
But I canot add/import new datafile
there comes a error message 1001

should I edit the sql file somehow first?
will the old databse just be wiped away?

thank you.

Perhaps there will be another way. I have just uploaded two zencart shops in the root of my server. Same database for both, and same admin.
It seems that this will work fine.

And to set differents settings for the second shops, i think the best way it's to install the multisite contrib.(A bit messy, but this is my opinion. It's still a great contrib once installed and running)

Someone have another idea ?
