Updating global pricing by 10%

Hi Zenners,

I have about 400 products listed and I need to increase all products pricing by 10%. Now I did a search on this and got heaps of threads but they were very old and I am not sure if the version I have has it built in (1.3.0.1). I have some products priced by attributes as well.
Any help would be great as I dont fancy doing it manually...

You should upgrade to v1.3.0.2 ...

The products_price you want to increase by 10%

What happens to the Attributes?

You say some are Products that are Priced by Attribute ... do these get the 10% increase?

What about Products with Attributes that are not Priced by Attribute?

Do these Attributes have prices on them? Do they also need to increase 10% as well?

All prices need to go up by 10%.

Also I would like to upgrade but I think there is a HEAP of work to do for little benifit... am I wrong thinking this ???
When you upgrade it overwrites a heap of files and then you have to go back and put your backup files back in... not that I have ever done a upgrade before but I have read that it seems like a huge job.

yeps ... I think skipping the upgrade is not a good plan ...

I would get the upgrade done so that everything is working better and next upgrade will go smoother ...

If you are using the templates and overrides ... and have something handy like Beyond Compare from scootersoftware.com ... life is always easier on an upgrade ...

Once you are backed up on your site and database ... and get the upgrade done ... then you can apply global price increases to the Products and Attribute ...

Ok... I might copy the database and apply the upgrade to it first and then if all works fine and there is no dramas I will copy it onto the server and 'bob's ya uncle' .... I can just see you American's thinking... what the hell is that Aussie talking about...

Oh.. one other thing... has 1.3.0.2 have a golbal price increase function ???

No ... not a feature for that yet ...

But once you upgrade ... we can play 20 questions and I will tell you how to update your Product Prices and Attribute Prices by 10% ... :smartass:
