Not able to add products

Not able to add products

I am in the midist of changing host providers and have had my new hosting company retore the data base from ny site that is running today.

The issue I have is when I attempt to load products(which there is more then 1500) I am not able to see the product. I use easypopulate as I have in the past and all the images and eveything are where they should be.

One thing I have noticed on the new site that I have not sen beore on the old site is that when I create a Cateorgy I get a message that says "NOTE: Category has SubCategories Products cannot be added" but I have looked at the top level and do not see any products there.

If anyone can help the url for the new site is 63.134.234.74/Zencart.

That notice is simply a safety preventing you from mixing products and categories at the same level. It is not an error

Easy Populate issue.

If your description doesn't load, then you won't see the products. Are you perhaps missing the v_products_description_1 column from your import file?

Why can't you mix products and categories at the same level?
Or is there some method, to which I am not yet privy, to accomplish something like:

  • Vehicles
    • Trucks
      • Ford Ranger
  • Chevy S-10
  • Cars
    • Hatchbacks
      • Honda Civic
  • Toyota Prius
  • Porche 911
  • Dodge Clubwagon
  • Pogo-Stick
