Andrew;

What did you mean by"Not included tpl_footer_googleanalytics.php"? Are you saying you want me to post that file in the forum?

Thanks...

Re: Google Analytics Integration

So where does this file come from??? Am I supposed to install one of the other google analytics programs other than yours and yours was an addition to another persons code?

I am thoroughly confused now as I thought your google analytics contained all the code needed for tracking. Are you saying I am missing something, I didn't rename something correctly?

Thanks...

Re: Google Analytics Integration

0be1:

So where does this file come from???
readme.txt, lines 53-62:

  1. UPLOAD:
    /includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/common/tpl_footer_googleanalytics.php
    ......
  2. EDIT:
    tpl_footer.php or tpl_main_page.php or any other that you want.
    (for example: copy template_default/common/tpl_footer.php then edit and save in YOUR_TEMPLATE/common/ directory).
    To any place that you want add
<?php include($template->get_template_dir('tpl_footer_googleanalytics.php',DIR_WS_TEMPLATE, $current_page_base,'common'). '/tpl_footer_googleanalytics.php'); ?>

For ex. to the bottom of the tpl_footer.php.

Re: Google Analytics Integration

I installed Andrews GA last week and it worked fine, and then yesterday it stopped working. GA was saying something about new code and legacy code. I have fiddled around so much I think I have lost track of what I edited :(

Now it keeps telling me

Tracking Not Installed (Last checked: 2008-09-08 6:47 PM PST.)

Re: Google Analytics Integration

Hi there, I have two questions...

  1. I like to use the site overlay, but it doesn't work in my google analytics. Everything shows 0%. I think the reason is because I rename the links with this line of code:

Line #37 : pageTracker._trackPageview('<?php echo $google_analytics_page; ?>');

so the page names don't match the links... Is that right? Is there a way around this? Is my theory totally bogus?

  1. I am using a shared SSL certificate, so now when people purchase from my store, google always says the person came from "delightfuldaisy.com / referral " At least I think it's because of my shared SSL certificate which redirects the secure pages to another domain temporarily then comes back afterwards. Previously, it used to correctly show how they got there. Is there a way around this, or do I need to purchase a static IP and personal SSL cert? My marketing is tough when I don't know how people get to my store...

Thanks for your help!

Go to Admin->Configuration->Google Analytics Configuration and Set "Use pagename" to false.

    Sorry, but I can not answer now - I need to read the GA documentation.

By the way, you're using the old version GA - update.

Ok, I am going to have to try and nut this one out. I keep getting interrupted by my 6 month old.

The weird thing is, the next day GA was working and taking data ...

Thanks Andrew
