Distance between Images in "New Products of the Month"

Hey everybody and anybody. Im trying to do some changes in the NEW PRODUCTS OF THE MONTH SECTION on my main page.

First, i would like to change "New products of the Month" to "New STUFF of the Month". How do i do that?

Second, The distance (Horizontally and Vertically) between the images in this section are too much, how can i shorten them and bring the images closer together?

Nevermind, I got it :) If you need to know, find this in your stylesheet:

/list box contents/
.centerBoxContents, .specialsListBoxContents, .categoryListBoxContents, .additionalImages, .centerBoxContentsSpecials, .centerBoxContentsAlsoPurch, .centerBoxContentsFeatured, .centerBoxContentsNew {
margin: 0.1em;
}

And just change it to this:

/list box contents/
.centerBoxContents, .specialsListBoxContents, .categoryListBoxContents, .additionalImages, .centerBoxContentsSpecials, .centerBoxContentsAlsoPurch, .centerBoxContentsFeatured {
margin: 0.1em;
}

I Just tried to find this section in my stylesheet but i don't have it. Are u sure its in the template stylesheet?

What version of Zen are you using? I am using 1.3.0.2 and this is in my custom stylesheet which is a copy of the stylesheet.css in the template_default folder.

I was using an older version. But i just downloaded 1.3.0.2 and i did find that section of text in the new stylesheet. Once i have set up everything i will try what u just suggested and get back to u. Until then....

Ok, i've got the latest version being 1.3.0.2........im having alot of trouble with this new stylesheet. I removed all the sideboxes on the right side. Now i wanna stretch (increase the width) of the "Product of the Month" to overlap. I was able to do it on the older version but can't seem to find the coding on the newer version.

Ok, nevermind, don't bother answering.....if anyone was going too anyways. I found the solution.........Let me post it so everyone can see.

What i was trying to do was remove all the sideboxes from the right side of the screen, and stretch the center content all the way to the right side of the screen while keeping all the images and content properly aligned. First i de-activated all the boxes on the right side in the ADMIN section....

Then i went into my web page directory......to INCLUDES/TEMPLATES/TEMPLATE_DEFAULT/COMMON/tpl_main_page.php. Use the same folder for Classic Templates as well. Around line 72 or so u should see the following......

Were it says width = "100%".........thats were u can stretch the center content out. You'll have to try different widths depending on the overall size of your page. This will also keep your content and images properly aligned as well.

Wouldn't it be easier to turn the right column off from the Admin and not have to mess with the code?

I wrote in my previous message that "I DID" turn off all the sideboxes on the right side in the ADMIN section. But i still had to stretch out the center page to the end of the page, or else there would just be a big empty space.

Please look at settings for the columns.

=> Admin
==> Layout Setting

Column Left Status - Global 1

Column Left Status - Global
Show Column Left, unless page override exists?
0= Column Left is always off
1= Column Left is on, unless page override

Column Right Status - Global 1

Column Right Status - Global
Show Column Right, unless page override exists?
0= Column Right is always off
1= Column Right is on, unless page override

May be spend some time to make friend with the admin settings will save you times later on. :smile:
