Payments specific to products?

I'd like to have certain payment options specific to products.

At the moment this is because I want people to make cheques (that's "checks" to some of yous) payable to different accounts according to what the product is.

Also I only want certain product (types) paid for by credit card (ie specifically not paypal).

Is this possible?

I'm afraid I'm a "more questions than answers" Zenner at the moment.

Reading some of the "pitfalls" in that thread tho' I can see those other difficulties.
I think my situation is simple enough, and the CC module works well enough, I'll just drop PayPal and only use credit cards and thus avoid having to think about it :smartass:
