Removing the Shipping Estimate Fields

Hello, this is my first post.

I am currently working on a new website for my company and I have a question...

How do I remove the Shipping Estimate fields?

What I mean is when you purchase (test purchase in my case) from the website and you get drop down boxes showing the name of the country, state/province and zip code. In theory, you are supposed to click on the country, state/province and zip code to get a shipping estimate... I do NOT want this because I offer flat rate shipping. This part is totally pointless and right now it is doing nothing other than take up space and possibly confusing customers. In effect this Shipping Estimate fields are like an extra arm or leg - an useless one. I am unable to find a way to remove it. Is there a way? I only want to show the actual flat rate shipping price, nothing else. I only ship to the U.S. and the flat rate shipping applies to the amount of $$ of the order so whatever location you are at does not matter at all.

If I am not clear enough, please say so. After all, this is my first post and I am still learning about the ins and outs of Zen Cart.

Re: Removing the Shipping Estimate Fields

Just turn the shipping estimator off again:
Admin->Configuration->Shipping/Packaging->Shipping Estimator Display Settings for Shopping Cart ... = 0

Re: Removing the Shipping Estimate Fields

Unfortunately, that does not help me. I already know about that but... I want to only show the flat rate shipping price rates. Like for example, purchases between $ 30.00 - $99.99, the shipping price is $ 6.00. I want the customer to see how much shipping will cost before going into checkout.

I am using the table rates to show the flat rate shipping and if I turn the Shipping Estimates to "0" I also lose this. With "1" I get the whole stupid shipping estimate drop down boxes plus the flat rate shipping prices. Ditto for "3".

I only want the flat rate shipping prices only with no Shipping Estimate Fields. Right now, my preferred setting is "3" which shows the actual shipping price in bold face plus an option for pick up in store (no shipping charges).

Is there a work around which I can only show the shipping prices without the Shipping Estimate Fields?

Best Regards, Yesac13

Re: Removing the Shipping Estimate Fields

Hi
This is also my first post. How do I do the exact opposite. I want to remove the flat rate shipping. I have already went to admin > configuration > shipping/packaging but none of the options look like what I need. I have some php knowledge so if you tell me to rewrite I'll try but I am new to zen so I don't wanna go there

Re: Removing the Shipping Estimate Fields

If you do not wish to use the Flat Rate flat shipping module, then just go to the Modules ... Shipping ... and click on Flat Rate flat and click on REMOVE ...
