oh what have i gone and done now lol

hiya,
i have just done a reinstall after wiping off the old one. I deleted the old database and started all from scratch.
The last one i did, i put in a folder called shop so when you typed in the url it automatically opened url/shop .
I wanted the shop to be there when i opened the url and for just the url to be in the address bar, so i just installed it in the public_html folder .. it all said the install was ok, and when it was done i had 2 options of going to store or admin. i went to the store and it was all there ok. i closed down, and went to url/admin .. it changed the url in the address bar to url/shop/admin and then displayed a page cant be found error. i then typed in the url and it changed it to url/shop and displayed the same error. to get the shop i have to type in url/index.php .. which is worse than it just adding /shop at the end which is the original thing i wanted to get rid of lol .. oh and i cant get into admin either. . i tried url/admin and tried url/index/admin but i cant get in.

is it possible to have zencart set up so that you just have to type in the url, and it stays on that ?

Erica xx

ps, url if needed is https://www.costumejewelleryaccessories.co.uk

edit: to add on that i couldnt access admin

Do you have a /public_html/.htaccess file?
If so, please post its contents here

Just remove the redirectmatch lines ... you could put a # at the beginning to disable them
