medium & large pictures...

i'm sure this is easy...

I made 3 sets of pictures (well only 2 so far)

small 126x155
medium 280x345
large (yet to be determined)

i've uploaded the small one as the product image, so it will use that one all the time unless you are viewing the product info (which i would like the medium picture to be used) and of course, the large image when you click "view larger image."

My problem is ONLY the small image is being used for everything, including product info and view larger...

How do I set this up so each option will use the corresponding picture?

(ps. I ftp'd all the medium images to the "medium" folder)

you can just have ONE image and it will take care of the rest for you.

besides doing the images for you, imo the best thing is the mouse over larger image pop up :)

it can also watermark for you.

i actually did d/l image handler. I was just too lazy to try to decipher the instructions since they were all jumbled together. haha

So....how exactly do I use Image Handler. I'm a little confused.

AND... I'm getting this error everwhere after I installed

Nevermind...I forgot to change permissions on one of the folders...

I'm having the same problem as khopek initially posted. i have labeled my images with the correct suffixes AND put them in the corresponding 'medium' and 'large' folders, but i can't seem to get zc to display the xxx.jpg on the thumbnails pages AND xxx_MED.jpg on the product info pages. regardless of where i put things, zc displays whichever image i last uploaded for the both thumbnail and product info pages.

any suggestions?

Did you upload all the images through the product entry page? If so, you are correct, the last image loaded will be considered the main product image. The most efficient way to load images is through ftp, but if you need to load them through the product page, you can work around by loading the thumbnail you want last. Assuming all the others are named and loaded correctly, you will get your medium, large and additional images.

hmmm... quickquestion on ftp uploading- how will zencart know which images go to each product? do i need to find a way to name them exactly the same as the product names?

THere are specific rules for names to let ZC know how to use them. The How do I add multiple images to a product? tutorial covers this in detail.

hey thanks, i somehow didnt come across that file when looking for image help, and i found it really helpful. i got all the medium images showing up great, now im just struggling with the large ones.

im using lightbox, which i believe calls for putting all the additional images in the images/large folder, and additionally ive labeled them with the correct root name and _LRG suffix, but across the board none of my _LRG images show up when i click on the product_info image :blink:

i have submitted a thread to the add-ons area, so hopefully someone there can help direct me if this is indeed a lightbox problem.

i actually went and uninstalled lightbox to see if perhaps thats not the problem. i discovered that my large images are not loading when called by clicking on either the medium image or the thumbnail. any idea what might be wrong?

i didnt figure out what was causing the problem with my large pictures opening up, but i did figure out how to get lightbox to show multiple images (see the thread). so basically, im solving this problem by using lightbox. not a real solution, but hopefully one that will work for the time being.
