Home Page Description

My home page has a description generated by Zen Cart. I'd like to put my own description for search engines. How can this be done? Put in a search for the subject and found the answer but can't get to the page needed.
it was said to go here :
open your /includes/languages/english/YOURTEMPLATE/meta_tags.php

When I get to my template name all that come after that is header.php.
I'm using 1.3.0.1.

for "language" files....
in your YOURTEMPLATE folder, if you don't already have the mentioned file, you would copy it from the folder above it ... in this case, from the "english/meta_tags.php" into "english/YOURTEMPLATE/meta_tags.php" ... and then edit it.
