Chaning the maincat links into a UL list menu

Hey folks, I am in love with the newest zen-cart. Great work there! I would like to change the maincat links into a css based ul/li menu but I don't view through the tpl_categories.php which contains a lot of php stuff I don't understand.

Anybody could give me some advice how to implement this function? You could view an example here. Don't know about the submenues and if its possible at all...

Thanks a lot for this link. This seems to be exactly what I need but to overloaded. I don't need a flyout just the pure ul's. So now I am stuck with removing the flyouts - Now I am confused how to go ahead.

if you just alter the CSS to not do the flyout actions, you should be fine.
