Product Expiry Date

Hi,
Is there any way of adding an expiry date to a product?
I am looking at using Zen for an online ticket store for events and would require the the product to vanish after the date of the event to stop people purchasing it after.
If anyone could help me this would be great.

This could be customized and added to the code ...

You could manage this similar to specials or featured products ...

Customizing the Admin files for the Product Types for the additional date field would be similar to the dual dates used in Specials or Featured or Product Price Manager so that the dates do not conflict in the code ...

Then, like the specials or featured have the update run once per session so that it is not constantly updating the products table with each click ...

It would take quite a bit of customization ... but it can be done ... :smile:

I see that there is a module for OS Commerce on this subject, I think I am going to have to try OS Commerce as I wouldn't know where to start putting it in from scratch.

i've got the same problem, because i am customizing zen-cart for a theaterticket-shop.

it would be great if you got some informations for me, how to add this featere, without test-hacking around in 1.000 files.

i am very new to zen-cart, but if its possible to find out how zen-cart works (in short time) - i would write a module for that feature.

I would also like this feature. I have no idea how to do it, but it is really annoying to have to manually turn products off when they are ticket sales for events, & it is already in place in reverse.....
I wish I knew how to code such things!

I would really like this feature as well. I am working with aplace that want to sell courses and trips... and they do not look smart if they are beyond last sale date....
